Customs duty

We recommend that you do not leave goods with new labels and prices on them in your parcels. In the event of a physical customs inspection of the parcel, customs duties are payable according to the price displayed on the goods.
When handing over parcels, it is the customer’s responsibility to declare the contents of the parcels and the actual value of the contents on their own responsibility.
If at any customs control or over-control carried out in Canada or Romania by the customs authorities, a discrepancy is found between the declared goods and the contents, measures may be applied to detain the undeclared goods properly or customs duties may be applied according to the customs tariff in force.
For any measures taken by the customs authorities to reassess the contents of the packages, detention or customs duties on the goods shipped, the customer must apply directly to the customs authorities by contesting the measures taken by customs.
The customer is directly responsible for the contents of the parcels he sends.
Montreal Packages disclaims any responsibility for the contents of packages shipped by the customer.
